Holy Moly! I just read my very FIRST blog post in November of 2011! SO much has changed that it is hard to believe that I was the person that wrote that! Am I still on a weight lost mission? Well.... YES!! However, since 2011 I have had a 3rd baby, had my wedding AND honeymoon (which PS was AMAZI?NG.) I have not only lost weight, but I have also found a community of people that have helped me become a better person! BEACHBODY!
Let me start back from the time of my last post! I was SO incredibly overwhelmed! I was at my HIGHEST weight of 162 and at my wits end! My boyfriend of 8 years and father to my 2 children had just proposed and while I was ecstatic that he FINALLY popped the question.. I was SO worried about being able to lose the weight in time for my June 2013 wedding! I researched NON-STOP on ways to lose the weight! I had my IUD removed, in case it was hormones. I saw an acupuncturist to help reduce stress, in case it was cortisol. I hired a nutritionist and paid him horrendous amounts of money, only to be disappointed! I literally tried EVERYTHING to lose that weight for my wedding!
Well, 6 months before my wedding I saw a hormone specialist and found out I have Hashimotos! I was devastated! I am sure a lot of women can relate to this or a similar thyroid issue! I hate excuses! I will work my ASS off to avoid having to fill in an excuse! However, if you want to talk about discouragement Hashimotos was it for me! I dwelled! I was SO tired of working my butt off and not getting anywhere!
Then, I met Brigitte, my Beachbody coach! I decided to join a Free Clean Eating Challenge and from there I went on to give Insanity a whirl.
When I walked down the Aisle I weighed 148!! I worked my tushie off and I lost 14 pounds! I was thrilled! I wasn't where I wanted to be, but I was closer to it than where I started and I rocked my wedding dress!
Please keep in mind when I say I was 148, that is by no means a great weight for me! I am 5'0 and if you look at BMI charts I honestly shouldn't be over 120 and if we are being honest, that is pushing it! I wanted more! I KNEW Insanity worked!!
I wish that I could say that after my wedding I continued on and became a total bombshell! I wish I could tell you that I stuck to my goals and I am now 110 lbs and living the beach life!
I can't!
In September of 2013.. yes 3 short months after my honeymoon I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd baby! I was thrilled to have an excuse to let myself go and I did! I ate what I wanted, when I wanted! Somehow, through my pregnancy I only gained 35 lbs! Seriously, I am still surprised by that number!
When my bundle of joy was born in May, I was back to feeling miserable! I had put myself back into the VERY situation that I had worked so hard to pull myself out of! I was struggling with self love and I desperately needed to gain my self confidence back!
Feeling out of options after flinging myself off the boat and an emergency C-Section I emailed my Beachbody Coach! I will be honest, I didn't think she could help haha! I think I may have been looking for another excuse! However, Brigitte came up with a solution! She helped me find a new path! She gave me hope that I needed! She helped me find a program that I could actually do, PiYo! She helped me stay accountable, she brought me Beachbody full force! I started Shakeology and I fully committed to the program! My baby is now 7 months old and I weigh 145 lbs! I weighed 179 lbs a week AFTER I left the hospital! 34 lbs later I feel great! I still have a long way to go, but Beachbody has brought me hope!
I would LOVE to introduce you to the same opportunity! If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! IF I can help even one person by sharing my story, it will be worth it!

It's definitely time!!
I'm finally to the point where being bigger than I've EVER been, including the day I delivered my children, is not okay anymore. Reality hits when your 4 year old draws pictures of the family and makes you twice as big as everyone in the picture to accommodate for your stomach! Children's honesty is pure and therefore I know he's not lying as I have been to myself. Prior to having children I never weighed over 118 and that was a bit much for my 5'0 height. I realize that your body is never the same after kids, but it has to be different than this! I've decided to start this blog as a day to day analysis of where I am, what works and what doesn't.
I'm not new to the diet trial and error! I've tried more than I can even count, to name just a few:
- HCG
- Alli
- Weight Watchers
- Skinny Girls Don't Eat Salad
- Carb watch
Don't get me wrong I lost weight on every one of them, and I also gained it all back! I knew I had to exercise more so, I joined Jazzercise and when I have time to go it's awesome! I can't say I've lost weight, but I do feel a ton better when I attend and my muscle tone has increased significantly. Unfortunately due to being a busy mom of 2, going to school 3/4 time and managing 2 departments at a full time job, I rarely find the time to make it there. I read a quote that said you can find excuses not to exercise 1 hour of each day and then you'll just have to live with the way you are 24 hours of everyday. I'm currently researching different types of diet and programs that can be easily worked into my day. So it's with great determination that I embark upon my weight loss challenge! I'm currently 162 and would like to be around 125 by my wedding in June of 2013. If you've any suggestions or encouraging words, I'd love to hear them along the way. I hope you will join me in this challenge as I start with day 1 Nov. 26 2011.
